Today is day 4 of being in Chicago, it is also July 4th which as all of you know is the day the declaration of independence was signed in 1776. From that day till now there have been soldiers who have laid down their lives as the ultimate sacrifice to give us freedom. They have given all they could give to allow the USA to maintain the things that make it so great.
This day is a reminder to us all that freedom is never free. To those who have lost a loved one you know this fact all too well and I thank you for your families, friends, and loved ones who served and still serve our great nation.
Along with the recognition of this momentous day in history I would like to refocus the limelight on the FREEDOM that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gives.
In Galatians 5:1 it says that Christ has set us free therefore do not fall back on the yoke of slavery.
We would not go back to the British rule nor should we turn back to the rule of sin.
Both freedoms were earned by the blood of someone willing to sacrifice it all. Don’t forget the sacrifices of the men and women who faithfully serve our country but also don’t forget that 2,000 years ago God sent His perfect son to die for all the wrong doings of the world, so that they can one day live in freedom, forever with Him.
God bless the U.S.A.
Thank God for His Blessing of eternal life through faith in His son Jesus.
Have a blessed and safe 4th everyone.
